Notice of Public Hearing – Local Law 3 of 2019

LOCAL LAW 3 OF 2019 


PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday November 13, 2019, beginning at 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard at the Village Hall, One Montebello Road, Montebello, NY 10901 to consider adopting Local Law No. 3 of 2018 entitled: “Amending Chapter 195 Zoning to Require the Same Minimum Dimension for a Parking Space as the Current Site Development Plan Standards of Chapter 146”, thus amending Chapters 195 of Village Code, as more particularly set forth in said Local Law, but summarized as follows.

The purpose of the Local Law is to remove a code conflict and standardize the minimum size requirement for a parking space.  The Site Development Plan Standards specify a minimum parking space size of 9 feet by 19 feet.  The Zoning Code specifies a minimum parking space size of 9 feet by 20 feet.  This conflict has caused confusion in the processing of several applications, since its discovery.  This Local Law adopts the minimum parking space size standard of 9 by 19 feet as set out in the Site Development Plan Standards and eliminates the 9 by 20 foot standard in the zoning ordinance, in order to eliminate this conflict in the Codes.

All interested parties are invited to attend.  The proposed law will be available for inspection and review at the Village Office during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm as well as on the Village of Montebello website
