Please be reminded per Local Law No 2 of 2016, a Do Not Knock Registry, was added to our Code as §129-11. At that same time the Code was clarified to make certain that “the listing of real property for sale” is a covered activity. Thus, “if peddling and soliciting is not desired”, please come into Village Hall and get on the Do Not Knock Registry by filling out the associated form. Once you do, the peddler or solicitor must honor that designation or risk a fine and possible loss of license. If you wish, you may also post a sign stating “no peddling or soliciting” or words of like intent.
