Storm Cleanup

News

Here is the official word from Town of Ramapo Highway Department regarding the pickup of STORM RELATED TREES ONLY:

As you know as a result of the major storm we had on March 14, we started picking up trees that needed to be cut do to trees that fell into the roadway or that were dangling over the roadway. These were cut and pushed off the roadway for collection. If some of these trees needed to be cut further they were cut back up to approximately 10’ in to the right-a-away.

We have a list  lists of what streets we already collected from and as such will not be going back to those streets (with minor exceptions of course).

Furthermore, I am not giving specific street information with the below schedule, as  I don’t want to have situations where residents begin to bring any downed trees, limbs, branches etc., from all areas of their property, as that is the homeowners  responsibility.

Monday (3/26) – Wednesday (3/28)

Montebello – Highway Dept

Wednesday (4/3) –  (4/4) (or as needed)
