HPPC Public Hearing Announcements

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Historic Preservation and Parks Commission (HPPC) of Montebello will hold a public hearing at Village Hall, One Montebello Road, Montebello, New York on the 1st day of March, 2023 beginning at 7:30 p.m. local time, or as soon thereafter, for the purpose of conduction a hearing for the following matters:

Application of Moshe Gross, 3207 Corner Street, Spring Valley, New York 10977 pursuant to Section 195-64C of the Village Code for a Certificate of Appropriateness.  The Commission must determine if such shall be issued, and if so under what conditions if any with respect to the renovations of the existing house located at 103 Montebello Road, Montebello, New York, which is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section 48.14, Block 1, Lot 3.1 in Zone R-35 and which lies within the Historic and Scenic Overlay District being within the 250 feet of the centerline of Spook Rock Road. 

Application of Steven Saffer of Pomona Enterprises Corp., PO Box 515, Pomona, New York 10970 pursuant to Section 195-64C of the Village Code for a Certificate of Appropriateness.  The Commission must determine if such shall be issued, and if so under what conditions if any with respect to the vacant property located at 158 Spook Rock Road, Montebello, New York, which is designated on the Ramapo Tax Map as Section 49.05, Block 1, Lot 13 in Zone RR-50 and which lies within the Historic and Scenic Overlay District being within the 250 feet of the centerline of Spook Rock Road. 

All members of the public and all interested parties are invited to attend and participate.  The application will be available for inspection and review upon request during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
